Oh my goodness this little boy was sweet.   And his Mommy and Daddy, Rebecca and Tyler, are just smitten.  I had the privilege of capturing little Judah almost two weeks ago at 7 days new.  He weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces at birth.

I’ve said it before, but I meet some amazing people through my work.  Rebecca’s parents founded Project Rescue, an organization dedicated to providing a safe environment for women and children in sexual slavery.  And Rebecca and Tyler will soon be moving to India to serve as missionaries.

So many sweet images to choose from so here are a few.

Twins | Denver Newborn Photographer | Golden Colorado

How precious are these two little girls?  Meet Abigail and Naomi.  Born at 39 weeks…can you believe it!  They weighed in at 7 pounds 3 oz and 6 pounds 12 oz, respectively.  That is nearly 14 pounds of baby their Mama Liz’s belly…I’d say that is pretty amazing.  These little girls came home to three older siblings.  Nathan and Liz thought they’d “even it out” with just one more baby.  Ha!  God clearly had other plans and a sense of humor.

It’s quite incredible how different we humans are even at just 8 days new.   Abi is laid back.  Naomi is feisty.   And the bond between them is very much apparent.  I guess they did spend 9 months getting used to one another.  They were happiest when they were snuggled right next to each other.  And forget being close to each other and try to adjust their position.  They positioned themselves exactly how they wanted to be so that is what I captured.

I love photographing babies.  But honestly, I adore meeting other moms too.  It’s nice to connect and relate and to compare notes.  And Liz was especially amazing.  Our conversation was effortless and there was some bonding to be had.  I felt like I was just spending the morning at a friends house.  What an amazing job I have.

Harrison | Denver Newborn Photographer | Denver Highlands

I love my job.  I had the privilege of photographing baby Harrison at just 5 days old.  Remember his Mommy and Daddy?  They didn’t know he was a boy until he was born.  I don’t think I could ever not know, but I can see how fun that would be!  Harrison finally arrived weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces.  He was just fashionably late at about 9 days overdue.  But isn’t he so handsome?  He has such precious little cheeks.  He was pretty laid back, but we really had to be patient to get him to sleep.  Just so much to see in this new world of his.  We waited nearly two hours!  But it paid off.  Some of my most favorite newborn images ever came from this session.

Wyatt 10 Days New | Denver Newborn Photographer | Golden Colorado

Did ya’ll see on the news that there were more boys born in 2012 in Colorado than usual?  That should explain my streak of boys over the last few months!  But I really enjoyed photographing little Wyatt.  He came into this world at 6 pounds 13 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long.  It’s so fun to capture newborns knowing that they will never be this little again.  His newborn session was pretty relaxed with just me and his Mama.  He was pretty content to just sleep and let us mess with him.  I’m so excited to share a few more from his session.

Bentley 10 Days New | Golden Newborn Photographer | Denver Colorado

I photographed this baby girl in her Mama’s belly.  And I was honored to photograph her birth day.   Here are a few from her newborn session at just 10 days new.  I love that I was able to be apart of all three stages of her life so far.  I had the privilege of documenting times that can never be gotten back.  She will never be in her mama’s belly again.  She will never have a “birth” day again.  And she will never be this tiny again.  Sigh.  She will have these images forever and I love that I got to be the one to capture her.

Here is little Bentley.  She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces at birth and has a little bit of strawberry blonde hair going on.  She is just precious.  Her Mama is in love, as is her brother and her Daddy.

Gorgeous Flower headband with the pearl in the middle was made by my lovely friend Marisa at Magpie’s Pearls.  All proceeds from her shop go to Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.
